Getting Started with Brisk: Set Up Your Company Before adding your team and creating jobs, it's worth getting the main company settings right.

Set up your company

Before adding your team and creating jobs, it's worth getting the main company settings right.

Open Settings from the bottom of the left-hand menu.

Organisation Profile

Add your:

  • Business address
  • Telephone number
  • Billing email
  • Website
  • Company logo

Your address and branding are used on documents created by Brisk, including quotes, invoices, purchase orders and RAMS.

Your company name comes from the information entered when the account was created. If it needs to be changed, contact Brisk support.

Working hours

Under Timelogging, set the times that count as:

  • NT — Normal Time
  • Tx1/2 — time and a half
  • Tx2 — double time

You can also configure your normal breaks.

Brisk uses these settings when splitting recorded time into normal and overtime periods.

VAT

Under Tax & VAT, tell Brisk whether your business is VAT registered and enter your VAT number.

You can then configure the tax brackets you'll use on invoices.

Hourly rates

Create the charge-out rates your business uses, including Normal Time, time-and-a-half and double-time rates.

These can later be assigned to employees and overridden for particular customers or jobs where required.

Work groups

Work groups help organise your team and jobs.

Examples might include:

  • Plumbing
  • Heating
  • Electrical
  • Service
  • Projects

They're particularly useful when filtering jobs and employees in the Job Schedule.
